The Golden Sunset Villas is a three-star complex of rooms, studio, apartments and cave houses built into the side of the cliff overlooking the caldera. Being situated in Oia, Golden Sunset Villas lives up to its name with one of the best views of Santorini’s famous sunsets. Families can choose from a range of rooms and villas including a villa inside a traditional Greek windmill. The Windmill Villa can accommodate up to four people, making it perfect for families. However, parents of young children should note that due to the structure of the windmill, only children over the age of 6 are able to stay in it. The cave houses can accommodate up to four people and guests can get to experience the types of houses that local inhabitants lived since ancient times — albeit slightly more luxuriously.
The hotel serves a continental breakfast on guests’ private terrace while those without terraces are served breakfast near reception. All the facilities of Oia are a stone’s throw away, including a mini mart, good quality restaurants, a pharmacy and gift shops.
