First time we've ever stayed here and was presently surprised at how nice everything was. The room we stayed in was recently remodeled so it was clean and nice with new floors and new bathroom fixtures. We have a dog and the Golden Nugget takes small dogs so that was a plus. There aren't many hotels in Laughlin that take dogs. The room we had was on the first floor right next to the doggie run. All we had to do was to open the sliding glass door and let our dog out to do its stuff. Very very convenient. The hotel has several eating places which we enjoyed. Overall it was a nice trip and very inexpensive.

In the morning, the toilet backed up all over our floor and the shower wasn't draining correctly. When I called the front desk, they said Oh OK I'll send someone. No apology or concern or offer of any solution. We came back 4 hours later only to find the wet towels all over the bathroom floor and no new ones. We put them in the hallway and asked for clean towels. Oh OK I'll send someone. Still no apology.
