One reads 'resort' and imagines all sorts of amenities, like a big pool and a waiter bringing drinks. Not here. Glen House is a resort like Grossingers in the Catskills is a resort--dated wood structures, musty room smell, dark. The restaurant food and service was average (and, weirdly, we tried to have lunch there after seeing lots of people inside and the staff said these were people on a bus tour and we had to go to the golf course across the street to get lunch. Huh? We were guests! Get the car, drive to the club, eat lunch, drive back--like I said, weird.) The views are spectacular, though--all water.

I doubt I would return. Once was enough.

This waterside resort was a truly lovely location. I was there with a group and loved the views. It is an older resort. I can tell there have been updates done but there are still lots to do. My room did not have a security bar on the door which made me uneasy. Not sure why it did not. Also, there is no outside light at the ice machine so when you are there past dark it is very very hard to see and you can easily fall as the machine is up on a built platform. Overall this was very nice but a lot more needs to be done. Food was so-so.
