Gild Hall – A Thompson Hotel is a boutique hotel located in the Wall Street area of lower Manhattan near One World Trade Center, the South Street Seaport and Battery Park. Nearby landmarks include the 9/11 Memorial, Freedom Tower, Brooklyn Bridge and the Statue of Liberty.

Rooms feature oversized leather-tufted headboards and elegant furniture and chandeliers. They offer free Wi-Fi (though restrictions apply) and flat-screen TVs. Breakfast is available for a fee. There are free newspapers in the lobby, air-conditioning, free bottled water and daily housekeeping. The decor has the feeling of an Aspen country house, by designer Jim Walrod. The rooms range in size from king bedrooms to spacious suites.

Style over substance

Stayed here for 2 nights for a business trip as I needed to be based downtown. Warm, friendly staff on check in and offered a glass of prosecco which was a nice touch. Room was stylishly furnished and on first appearance seemed very cool.
- no bedside lighting meaning you have to get out of bed to turn lights on and off.
- lighting was a little gloomy overall
- no heating in bathroom and it was a little chilly in the morning..
- no accessible plug sockets near bed
The restaurant was fabulous for breakfast and dinner.

With a little more thought into practicalities this could be an amazing hotel..

Great place to stay!

Overall I had a wonderful experience at Gild Hall! Upon checking in, the customer sevice was top notch. Matt one of the mangers was super helpful and kind. He upgraded our room to a deluxe room with a king size bed. That was super nice and expected!
Angel and Simon both work the front desk in the evenings and late nights, both super accomodating and easy going. They were very helpful with NYC recommendations and turned me on to Leo's bagels, so good! When I mentioned to Angel it was our annivarsary, he offered us a free bottle of champaign! I will definitely be back!!
