The hotel has been off everyones radar for the past couple of years due to ongoing construction works. This was reported to have finished so we booked 2 rooms interconnecting for the family.
Constuction HAS stopped and there is NO assosiated noise, it is however not complete with the front rooms surrounding the top pool a halted work in progress...my guess is they ran out of money.
The gardens and the pools are top class, very well tended and maintained.
Breakfast is Ok, an egg bar serving all styles which is good. The rest is Indonesian fare with the exception tiny sausages, toast and croissants and occasionally baked beans, no bacon to go with the eggs.
Our first 2 rooms were OK except 1 rooms AC did not work, pursued fixing it for 2 days with no luck so they offered us a family suite (room 120) at a 30% discount per day, cost an extra $500 for 13 days but it was verrrrry nice and well worth it.
The old rooms are still here but I dont think they get used much and are a bit musty when we looked at them.
All up we had a good experience, the staff are great......stay again?? Think there are better places.

I stayed atFourteen Roses again for the second time in August for 3 weeks. In the classic delux room. Nice room clean and secure with balcony overlooking garden and pool.quiet hotel and no rowdy guest staff are friendly and helpful. The linen and towels in the room could do with a bit of a renew but apart from this I really enjoyed my stay. The pool.is beautiful and clean. Breakfast is basic and not sure its worththe $10 when you have so many options around. Great location. Renovations are almost complete and didn't impact on my stay at all. Would definitely go back. The new rooms are great as well grand delux and junior suite I had a look at them for future stays and really lovely. The classic delux is good basic accommodation and I got a really good deal at the time $34 a night without breakfast. They can also pick you up and drop you at the airport for a cost of 20$. Wich was handy and no hassle.
