The hotel is under reconstruction and so that always presents problems. The heat failed in the common areas, but not in my room, thank Gwod, when a cold front hit. The place is a little cheap, both in price and in features. The little gym is ok and the bar serves a generous whiskey shot. The tv service was poor, but that may be because of the weather (DirecTV).

Not a good stay. But first the good. The staff tried very hard to solve issues. Desk manager, maintenance person and the breakfast lady. They really did try. The problem was that they had a bad product to work with. Also, the bed was very comfy. And for us, the location Was good. Sadly, it ends there.
This is an old hotel. Decor, rugs, walls, doors, some bathroom fixtures ere the ones you would see in a James Bond film when Sean Connery was 007. Very dated and unpleasant. However, they are in the middle of a major renovation. So maybe that will change. Some things don’t work very well. A/C made as much noise as an untuned diesel engine. Had to keep uploading the tv cable.
Even though I’m a Marriott/Sheraton platinum member and made the reservation a month ahead, the gave me the worst room they had. Asked for two queens and they said only one left, but on the noisy road side. Instead offered a king on the quiet side. AC was so loud and tv didn’t work, so asked for another one. Slightly better, but the TV didn’t work. The third room was acceptable in that things worked.
Desk guy gave me coupons for breakfast, but the first morning I was told it would be thirty minutes even though only two tables were ahead of us. Even for the free continental breakfast. So we skipped it. Some issue in the kitchen I suppose. There was a bar, but it was empty and sad. Not much around this place.
So, I didn’t like it. Old and worn. Didn’t feel as welcome as I usually do in other hotels in this chain. Maybe after they wash the place and give it a shine it will better. But wouldn’t go back again.
