This is a family-owned motel, right on the beach, with two heated pools and hot tubs overlooking Lake Tahoe. It offers an affordable, clean stay that’s ideal for families on a budget. Request a one- or two-bedroom lakefront suite, and you’ll not only get an awesome view, but also a kitchenette and fireplace. (Not all units offer them, so be sure to ask). Ferrari’s guests enjoy easy access to a beautiful, private, white-sand beach; free high-speed Internet access and a complimentary continental breakfast. This motel sits central to all of the summer and winter Tahoe fun on the North Shore.

We stayed here at the suggestion of local denizens, since we were coming into town for a wedding. Such a disappointment. I would never go here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. Maybe the hotel has been affected by the damage from the storms, but it seemed more endemic than that.
Our room was small, very dark and dingy (even with the lights on). The bed was OK and there wasn't any noise. Breakfast was minimal, and the only cups for coffee were 2 oz shot cups (they didn't buy any others). Internet was very intermittent, but mostly off.
Worst was that we requested late checkout, especially for my 92 year old in-laws who were staying in another room. Initially we were told no problem and no charge - two hours later the manager called and said we had to check out in the next few minutes or we would be charged, that the employee was new and gave us incorrect information. He did relent, but it seems there are management problems here as well.

I have been coming here for the last 10 years. We love the location of the hotel because it has access to the beach and walking distance to restaurants. However the hotel was never well maintained. But for us the location always overweigh the condition of the hotel.
We arrived last friday to stay there for the weekend. Soon we realized that the access to the beach and pool were closed. We were so disappointed since my 16 yr old daughter and friend were ready to get in the pool.
The front desk person was very nice and felt embarrassed about the situation. He showed us the tiny fine print on the website that stated that the pool and access to the beach were closed. The tiny fine print was nearly impossible to find when booking w ur cell phone. He explained that the hotel was sold so half of the hotel was closed since they were not repairing anything until the new owner starts demolishing the hotel. He spoke with the manager who she gave us 10% off which is nothing after ruining a vacation.
We felt scammed! They should have called us after we booked the hotel to inform us about the hotel issues. Very dishonest and embarrassing behavior to ruin someone’s vacation. Dont go there! If I knew this I would have booked a different hotel where we can use the pool and spend time at the beach. Shame on you!
