Stayed here a couple of nights for a conference. This is a large, somewhat older hotel in a convenient location near Millennium Park and Michigan Avenue shops. It’s not glitzy or modern, but they’ve kept it up. My first room was too cold, and they cheerfully moved me to another room. Rooms are spacious, with nice bathrooms and large flat screen TVs. WiFi is free, worked well. Minibar fridge is electronic so they’ll charge you if you take anything out. Nice fitness center. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I arrived late for what I thought was a buffet lunch at my conference, and they made me a fresh new meal. Conference food was excellent. CVS is across the street, and a well-stocked market is around the corner (Bockwinkels).
Overall, this is not at the level of the Peninsula or Four Seasons, but its a very nice place to stay with good people working there. I’d stay there again.

I stayed on a business trip last week and the Fairmont was perfect. A great workspace for me to answer my emails, prompt room service with excellent food, and all of the staff were so friendly. I'll be staying here when I return.
