Located near the residential neighborhoods of south Lubbock, the newly renovated Fairfield Inn offers a reliable and inexpensive stay for any family. Their surprisingly spacious rooms include two queen beds and a large area for a crib or rollaway. You can easily arrange for a connecting room for even more space and comfort. Each room comes with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Other amenities of the hotel include a heated indoor pool and hot tub, a modern fitness center, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel serves up a free hot breakfast, including Texas-shaped waffles, fruit, pastries, eggs, and more. Be sure to ask for a “Grab-n-go” breakfast if you’re making an early start to your day.
The Fairfield Inn is located about 5 miles south of Texas Tech University, and is easily accessible on the south loop highway through Lubbock. Next to your hotel are several casual restaurants for your lunch and dinner needs. Kids will immediately spot the large park within walking distance, where they can run on the grass or climb on the playground equipment. Your kids will not rest, however, until you take them to the Joyland Amusement Park, a collection of classic carnival rides and roller coasters near downtown Lubbock. You’ll be near several world-class museums, including the stunning collection of authentic old west buildings at the National Ranching Heritage Museum, where you can explore a train depot, sod house, log cabin, and one-room schoolhouse. The Fairfield Inn and Suites, with its family-friendly rooms and free hot breakfast, is a good choice for your Texas vacation.

This hotel had everything right--including location. There are parks nearby, shade trees, five popular restaurants within walking distance, and it is set back off the highway. If you drive a few blocks outside the loop, there are beautiful homes, stores, and restaurants. It was quiet. The rates were very fair. And, the breakfast had the very best variety I have ever seen at any hotel. I especially liked the fresh strawberries, grapes, and bananas that were actually edible. This will be our go-to place in Lubbock.

I stayed at this hotel on 2/15/19. It was actually 1:00am on the 16th when we arrived at hotel. After getting in our room and settled for much needed rest my wife noticed a pair of dirty underwear hanging on the shower rod. I took pictures and presented them to the clerk the next morning and advised her that I expected to hear from the property manager. It’s been over a week and I still have not received a call or explanation. Worse yet I have not even received the usual survey that I normally get after checking out from a Marriott hotel. Is this being swept under the rug? Why has the manager not even attempted to call me? I got a generic email from Marriott.com but nothing else.
