We usually stop in Kingsland, GA on our way south for the winter but this year we pushed on a bit farther and stayed at the Fairfield Inn near Jacksonville Airport. We had stayed here a number of times years ago but we weren't sure how the property had "aged." I'm pleased to report it has "aged" exceedingly well. The layout is "old style" but the rooms are adequately large, very clean and comfortable. The service is excellent ... even including free shuttle trips to and from nearby restaurants. The breakfast room is "old style" but the food is perfectly adequate. Overall we were very pleased and intend to "push on" to Jacksonville Airport in the future. One warning: Jacksonville Airport hotels are situated on a service road that parallels the main road to the airport. If you're coming off I-95 and don't take an immediate left/right hook to drop over to the service road, you'll have to go all the way to the airport and circle back on the service road.

Surrounded by good restaurants, a short drive to a good shopping center, and clean comfortable rooms. What more could we want for an overnight on the way out of town on a flight?
Front desk people are very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, comfortable bed, the bathroom countertop is large enough for cosmetics, and plenty of room to unpack and get ready for a flight out. Breakfast is included, the usual fare with scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal, cereals, waffles, oj, coffee, milk. All good and attended by a very helpful lady.
We left our car for three days at no extra charge, took the hotel shuttle to the airport and back upon our return. This was a very convenient hotel.
