Located away on the far western edge of Amarillo, the Fairfield Inn provides a comfortable, clean, and, best of all, inexpensive stay for your family. Their surprisingly spacious rooms can include two queen beds and a queen sleeper sofa in a separate sitting area for extra privacy. Throw in a crib or rollaway, and you have room for 6 or 7 guests. Every suite includes a small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Other amenities of the hotel include a small indoor pool and hot tub, a modern fitness center, and free wi-fi. Families can fill up each morning on the free hot breakfast, featuring waffles, fruit, pastries, eggs, and more.
The Fairfield Inn & Suites sits just off the freeway, giving you each access to surrounding shops and restaurants. Five minutes down the road is the Westgate Mall, where you’ll find any number of eateries. Drive a few miles further to see the fascinating and iconic Cadillac Ranch public art installation. Bring some paint, because visitors are actually encouraged to add their own personal touch. Your hotel is also close to major family-friendly attractions, such as the Amarillo Botanical Gardens, Amarillo Zoo, Texas Air and Space Museum, and the new Kwahadi Museum of the American Indian, where kids will marvel at the ceremonial dances performed each weekend. Be sure to stop in at the nearby Big Texan Steak Ranch for a try at their 72-ounce steak dinner challenge. After a full day of sightseeing, you’ll be happy to return to the comfort and amenities of the Fairfield Inn & Suites during your family vacation in Amarillo.

I travel to Amarillo several times a month and have stayed at Fairfield a few times. This is my last time. The only ice machine in the building has been broken for months. Months. I know this because it’s still broken from when I was here at the beginning of the summer, and it was also broken a few weeks after that when I stayed again. And yes it’s still broken today. But they tell you to walk across the street to get ice at another hotel. I’ll just stay at that one next time. I’m here for work and need to use the business center... guess what, all the printers in the building won’t work and the business center is shut down. And it’s 85 degrees in a gross excuse for a fitness room. And in my room because the thermostat says 65 and it’s 76 in my room. Yeah I’m done here. I’d stay at Best Western or Super 8 before I’d come here again.
Front desk is rude and doesn’t care that everything is broken. But they have time to spread their dinner out on the table in front of the tv in the lobby.

We have used this hotel a number of times to meet and shuttle grandchildren. On this trip at the end of July we were assisted by Michelle at the front desk who attended to our specific needs and problems immediately and professionally. Kudos to this Marriot property who cares enough to hire and train the best. ????
