Great Hotel in Downtown Amarillo

We live a short distance from Amarillo but often attend events at the Amarillo Civic Center or baseball games at the ballpark. We opt to overnight at the Embassy Suites occasionally. It is a new hotel being open a couple of years. Very nice spacious rooms. Staff is great and very helpful. Across the street from the Amarillo Civic Center and just a block from the Hodgetown baseball park where the Amarillo Sodpoodles play minor league ball. Excellent breakfast buffet and evening reception included with room. We really enjoy our stays at this hotel.

Embassy Suites was a lovely oasis in a long drive. We wanted to see the city and stay downtown. Lovely entrance, and beautiful suites. Good value. Loved managers reception each day 5:30 to 7:30 good food and drinks. Friendly atmosphere to meet others. Great complimentary breakfasts also. The only inconvenience is that taxis are few in Amarillo. Be prepared to walk or travel with your own vehicle. Parking is not free, so moving a vehicle is planned in advance.
