The family-friendly hotel has one- or two-bedroom modern suites with fully equipped kitchens and plenty of space for families to spread out — just what you need after a day at the beach! Other conveniences and perks include two large pools, a playground, and a lawn area where guests can watch movies on a giant projector, enjoy live music on select evenings, or eat picnic lunches in the lazy afternoons.

One-Bedroom Suites
These units have a private bedroom with a king bed with a Serta mattress, and a queen-size sleeper sofa in the living area, where you'll find a flat-screen TV and DVD player. They also have a fully equipped kitchen, with all the necessities to prepare meals in your room. Keurig coffeemakers are included. Bathrooms have both showers and tubs, and include toiletries by Bath & Body Works.

Two-Bedroom Townhouse Suites
These units have two private bedrooms -- one with a Serta king bed and another with two double beds. In addition to that, there's a sleeper sofa in the living area, meaning you can sleep six to eight people in these units. These rooms, too, have fully equipped kitchens with Keurig coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs and DVD players, and bathrooms with showers, tubs and Bath & Body Works toiletries.

Many of these come in a loft style, with one bedroom on the first floor and another room on the second. This unit also has 1.5 bathrooms, again with one on the first floor and another on the second.

Rollaway beds are available for a nightly fee, but cribs have to be rented through an outside service.

Pools
The hotel has a large outdoor pool that's surrounded by chairs, tables and loungers. It's close to the main road, but fenced in and covered by trees and shrubs. In the summer, hotel staff like to pass out popsicles for everyone to enjoy. The outdoor pool is heated.

Inside, there's another large, heated pool, along with an adjacent hot tub and sauna for parents to enjoy.

Lawn Games
Close to the outdoor pool is a large green space with more tables and chairs. This is where the hotel often presents movies on a giant projector, complete with popcorn. Live music is hosted in this area on select nights, too.

Playground
There's a small playground at the back of the property, with swings and a slide.

Other than a few vending machines, you won't find any food onsite. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, though, especially in neighboring Ogunquit.

For groceries, stock up at the nearby Hannaford Supermarket -- it's less than 5 minutes from the hotel.

If you're able, fly into Portland International Jetport, about 30 minutes from the Elmwood Resort Motel. Otherwise, you'll need to consider Boston Logan International Airport, about 1.5 hours away. Expect a few tolls on the way in and out.

Getting Around
Every 20 minutes during the day, a trolley stops at the hotel to take guests to Wells Beach. It can also connect to other trolleys for trips to Ogunquit, York, Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, though a car is better for those cases.

Free parking is available at the hotel.
