We stayed 1 night while touring Frederick, MD and Harper's Ferry. Were very pleased with the room, beds, and especially, the friendly and helpful service of the staff. The buffet breakfast was better than expected. One maintenance comment: when we tried to turn on the heat in the A/C unit, it gave off a dusty, burning smell, and we immediately turned it off. We didn't report it, though, and perhaps it's now OK. There's a laundry room right in the property.

This hotel is located about a mile outside Harper's Ferry, somewhat uphill, but it is still close enough to the C&O trail to be a great option for riders. The hotel is very bike friendly and lets you bring bikes into the rooms for overnight. There are towels and a hose for cleaning up the bike if you need them.

The location is outside Harper's Ferry but a manageable walk to see everything, and there are places to eat and stock up on supplies not too far away.

Free wifi, comfortable & quiet rooms, a generous breakfast, very clean - everything you want in a stop ahead of the long ride into DC.
