We were visiting Bali for the first time. We booked this hotel for the few first days just to relax and recover after long flight but it was a big mistake and probably one of the worse places we ever stayed in our entire lives.
As soon we got to the area it didn’t look very pleasant location.
Hotel is nothing like pictures. Photographer did great job but unfortunately reality is very bad.
Hotel looked very old and dirty. As soon we got to our room it had very bad smell, bathroom was dirty, dust everywhere , stains on bedding sheets and towels. In 2 days nobody cleaned our room or changed towels.
Nothing to do around the hotel. No decent restaurants to eat or anything like that. The view from hotel was to the rubbish that local people just leave outside.
No air con in actual hotel just in rooms. So as soon you leave your room you feel like in sauna. Breakfast was poor. As there is no air con hundreds of flies all over the food all the time. Didn’t feel very comfortable to eat.
Wifi extremely slow. Almost doesn’t work in the rooms.
We didn’t even consider to swim in the pool. It’s DIRTY everywhere you look in this hotel.
You can find much better rooms for same/better price and in much better location.
It’s sad that hotels like d’Sri Saren put nice pictures and it’s far away from reality.
I believe one of the reasons for such a bad quality is that owners lives in Australia and don’t actually care.
Would not recommend this place to anybody.

I was in that small nice hotel 4 weeks. It was a pleasant stay. The hotel is in a small quiet street in Seminyak. Walking distance to the next restaurants and to a busier street is 5 min, to the center of Seminyak 10 min and to the beach 15-20 min. Taxis (just take Bali Blue Bird) are very cheap.
The rooms are big, nice and clean. The hotel has a small not very deep pool. Only three sunbeds are available. WiFi in the rooms in the ground floor is weak. The young crew is very polite and helpful.
However: the rooms in the ground floor (I was in 101) have problems with warm and hot water. I had definitely all the time no warm/hot water. The hotel knows about that problem very well as it is also mentioned here in some comments. Of course they offered me to change the room.
Nevertheless: I will come back and take a room in a higher floor.
