The Driftwood Inn is an affordable assortment of accommodations in a beautiful beachside location. You can choose from standard rooms in the Historic Inn, deluxe suites in the Bluffview Lodge or the family-friendly Kachemak Cottage. The Cottages have two bedrooms and a loft that can sleep up to eight people. It also contains a full kitchen, furnished living room, private deck and outdoor BBQ. There isn’t any free breakfast, but the owners do provide occasional cookies and muffins from a nearby bakery as an evening snack. Kids will love being able to run down to Bishop’s Beach to explore tide pools and search for shells. There’s also a little play area next to the Historic Inn, where young ones can climb and swing.
The Driftwood Inn sits on a low bluff above Bishop’s Beach in the heart of Homer. There are restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance of your hotel. It’s a five-minute walk to the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, a great place to begin your trip to Homer. A 10-minute walk from the Inn brings you to the Pratt Museum. It’s a fun place to spend a few hours, learning about the history and culture of Homer. Drive out on the Homer Spit to peruse the eclectic shops and restaurants of the harbor, or board a fishing charter to learn why Homer is the Halibut Fishing Capital of the World. Everyone in the family will enjoy sailing across Kachemak Bay to hike the scenic Grewingk Glacier Trail. Homer is a small town, but it’s packed with things to do. The Driftwood Inn makes it easy to do them all on your big Alaska vacation.

Located near a quality steakhouse and Bishop's Beach, the Driftwood is a good place for a stay in Homer, AK. Be sure to have a crepe nearby and attend Sunday service at the Catholic Church within walking distance.
