We stayed at the Doubletree for less than 24 hours for a wedding. The hotel was full and we couldn't check in when we arrived (2 hours early). But I had already planned ahead and asked them if we could have a pool pass if we couldn't check in early. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and napping by the pool instead of killing time somewhere else. The wedding was 4 pm, same time as check in, so we were getting ready to dress for the wedding in the locker rooms when we found out our room was ready an hour early, which we appreciated. Room was nice, bed extremely comfortable. Breakfast next morning chaotic and understaffed. Our waitress was a hero, but could not keep our large group supplied with coffee -- not enough staff. No staff by the pool or in the fitness center (and this is a resort?) It's possible they have trouble hiring staff out in the middle of nowhere in PA, but if the resort is choosing to hire so few staff they might want to rethink it.
The staff we did meet were terrific and did all they could to accommodate us and our large wedding group.

After hearing about Willow Valley Resort and knowing this was the replacement hotel I was expecting much more but was disappointed. We had a small suite and the rooms were small and sofa cheap, too low and uncomfortable. One caraffe of coffee in the foyer for everyone in the place - ridiculous as it was empty each time I went for coffee. There were mix-ups that happened with those in charge and the clerks seemed overwhelmed. Yes, the scenery outside was beautiful and the meeting rooms very appropriate. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Need a coffee shop on site.
