Friendly staff, poor quality

We stayed for a dance workshop with a large group. Staff was very friendly and helpful. However hotel cleanliness and finishings left a lot to be desired. In their defense renovations are underway but I wouldn’t stay again til complete. Dirty floors, terrible bathroom chalking work, and hallways were cold and crudy. The good part is that there is ample free space in and around the lobby for groups to convene.

My daughter and I stayed here while visiting New Kent Winery. We were greeted very nicely and allowed to check in early. The employees at the bar were extremely nice (especially in offering to find the recipe to my favorite drink) and the breakfast crew were equally as friendly. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.
