This full-service DoubleTree hotel has two restaurants and a seasonal outdoor pool open from late May through early October. The hotel is across the street from Lloyd Center, a hub to take advantage of the state’s tax free shopping. The green MAX Light Rail runs directly from the airport to the DoubleTree and light rail or streetcar stops are across the street or two blocks from the hotel respectively, making your time exploring Portland very eco-friendly, which will please the locals. Kids will love the check-in process when they receive the famously warm DoubleTree Chocolate Chip Cookies! Rooms range from two double bed to spacious two-room king suites, located near the pool area, with a separate living room, sofa bed and balcony patio overlooking the city and/or the Cascade Mountain Range.

As a Hilton Diamond member, I stay at a lot of Hilton properties. The Doubletree in Portland is one of my favorites. The rooms are good sized, the elevators are quick and have a lovely view, the inhouse restaurant has a tasty salmon salad, AND the breakfast buffet is delicious! They always have berries, there is a delicious strawberry smoothie, and they have local mulberry jam. They also rotate their hot items. I love the chicken sausage. I highly recommend this hotel!

Friendly, accommodating staff and clean rooms. It was wonderful to have A/V set up and pencils, pads and post-it's provided for us.
Breakfast offerings could be better, as most items were over-cooked. They served snacks at 10 and 2 ... which really aren't needed. I'd like to see the quality of the breakfast offerings significantly increased, less snacks offered and the cleaning/deoderizing projects used in their first floor bathrooms switched to something pleasant, instead of stifling.
