If your kids like animals, they’ll love this wildlife-themed lodge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge features an 11,000-square-foot pool with a waterslide and zero-entry access, as well as a kids’ club, playground, arcade and onsite restaurant. Guests of the hotel are also invited to head to the Jambo House for campfire activities.
Guestrooms feature views of the pool or savanna; standard rooms face the resort’s lush property. Kids love the rooms with bunk beds! Note that bunk beds are situated right next to king or queen beds, so there isn’t any privacy.
Wi-Fi is complimentary to all guests.

We had a great holiday. 2 points through there needs to be more choice in quick service at Mara. Also we purchased refill cups for the holiday but they stop working on our last day. Especially as we had to leave our room at 11am but we couldn't get a drink in our cups. Surely they should work till you leave the hotel

This was our first visit to Disney as a family and our first stay at a Disney Resort.
We were really impressed with Jambo House. The common areas are beautiful. The pool was lovely and we found the lifeguards really on it and thorough. Very reassuring.
We were a little disappointed in the room. We were in Giraffe Trail and I think it was one of the older style rooms. We had bunk beds but that seemed to mean the room was smaller as not sure 2 queen sized beds would have fitted in there. Only 1 bedside table was frustrating and no light on the small balcony meant we could not sit out in the evening as planned. Only 2 drawers for all our clothes which wasn’t enough and no storage for cases or anything meant the room felt messy quickly. Not quite as luxurious/deluxe as we were hoping for. We duly left ‘Mousekeeping’ tips and chocolate every day but no Disney magic, towel animals or anything came our way.
All the staff were so friendly. Having spent the second half of our stay offsite we really noticed the extra mile the cast members went to and everyone spoke to you.
The quick service restaurant The Mara was great, lots of choice. We didn’t use the other restaurants but they looked nice.
We chose AKL for the animals and were not disappointed. We didn’t bother with a Savannah View and you don’t need too as there are lots of great viewing areas and the guides are so friendly and knowledgable.
Buses to the parks were frequent and clean, very easy to use. There is also a shuttle down to Kidani Village which meant we could use the pool and gym there aswell, both were great.
Overall we had a great stay and would recommend.
