The gates of Disney World and Disneyland are closed, and the parks sit empty amid the pandemic. Disney Cruise ships remain at port. If you’ve already bought tickets or booked a vacation and want to know what your options are for refunds or cancelations, here are the policies:
Walt Disney World
All Disney World theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and the Disney Springs area are closed until further notice. However, Walt Disney World is currently accepting reservations for travel dates starting on June 1.
Here are the current cancelation/refund policies for Walt Disney World:
Theme Park Tickets: Tickets with unused days or for specific dates will automatically be extended to be valid through Dec. 15, 2020. Or, you can apply the value of the unused ticket towards the purchase of a ticket at a future date.
Tickets for Disney After Hours, Disney Villains After Hours, Disney Early Morning Magic, and Disney H2O Glow Nights occurring before the end of the park’s closure will be automatically refunded.
Disney Resort Hotels: Disney is waiving change and cancelation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through June 30. If your reservation was impacted by the park closure, you may be eligible for a special vacation package offer from Disney that includes accommodations, park admission, and a Disney dining plan.
Disney will automatically cancel reservations occurring during the closure period, and refund your money, if you have not reached out to change or cancel your booking seven days before your scheduled check-in date.
Cancelation fees from third-party suppliers (like airlines or rental cars) and travel protection plan charges will not be refunded.
Annual Passes: All Disney World Resort theme park and water park annual passes will be extended for by the number of days that the park was closed. Or, passholders who have prepaid for the year can choose to receive a partial refund by calling V.I.PASSHOLDER Support at (4707)-939-7277.
Passholders on a monthly payment plan can postpone their monthly payments.
Dining and Experiences: All dining and experience reservations during the closure period will be automatically canceled, and any pre-paid money refunded.
