The Diamond M Ranch Resort is one of the more unique places to stay in Kenai. Built to look like an old turn-of-the-century Western town, the resort offers a wide variety of accommodation, from simple camping to shared bunk rooms to themed suites. A family of five will love the Wendler Tower, modeled after a historic building that still stands in Anchorage. It has the feel of a quaint country cottage, with brass beds, lace curtains and antique chairs. Everyone will be comfortable on a queen bed and three twin beds. The suite also comes with a full kitchen, living room and a private deck that looks out over the Kenai River. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, BBQ, laundry service and satellite TV. The resort also has a long list of onsite activities available to families, including horseback riding, Frisbee golf, farm tours and campfire nights.
The resort is located 4 miles from the town of Kenai, giving you easy access to shops, restaurants and fishing charters. You’ll want to make use of the resort’s tour desk for information about area activities, as well as their own guided rafting trips, fishing charters, wildlife cruises and mountain biking excursions. If the resort doesn’t offer it, they’ll know who does. With its fun family-friendly activities and historical themed rooms, the Diamond M Ranch Resort is a great choice for your vacation in Kenai.

The grounds are nice, the trail to the river was interesting. The spot we were assigned didn’t fit our motor home and the management worked with us to reassign a spot. However, the rest room facilities were not clean. The shower stalls needed to be cleaned more often.

We unexpectedly stayed at the Diamond M in the Foreman's Cabin when the Sterling Highway closed and prevented our return to Anchorage. First of all, this place represents the spirit of Alaska both from a historical perspective and from the heart. When everyone on the Kenai was booked full they graciously offered a discount to those in need and looked out for their "neighbors" from tourists to us city slickers from Anchorage. This property is impeccably maintained and so are the lodgings! The view from the Foreman's Cabin is amazing and it was the perfect place to relax after an unexpectedly long day. Gracious hosts, beautiful property, fantastic base for all of your Kenai adventures.
