The staff was very friendly, but room walls were so thin, could hear everything going on in halls at night. There were 4 weddings going on at hotel, and people on our floor screamed and partied till 4 am. Got no sleep. Toilet kept flushing on it's own, very loud at 3 am etc.
We had 10 rooms with our group on different floors and everyone was unhappy with small rooms and loud noise, broken things in their rooms etc.
When I checked out a day early to stay at a different hotel so I could sleep, they charged me 50% more for my room that day. I asked to talk to manager and would not come out. Nice girl at desk kept going to back to talk to manager and tell me what they said, but would not come out. changed hotels and had a great stay at new hotel. Management does not care about you at the desoto. Do not stay there!

Stayed there at the end of October for a conference.elevators did not work on the day that we were checking out from the 11th floor. no communication with guests about the elevators being turned off. Staff did not help with luggage terrible experience. I did love the area but there are other choices that I think would be better. Savannah Georgia is a wonderful place to visit and experience the history and the food was awesome. But this hotel never again.!
