As I've said before, I am a bit of a hotel-snob, however, the Delavan Lake Resort, despite it's lakeside location, was an overall disappointment. I reserved three suites for a mini family reunion, and was excited about the idea of suites as two families have three children each. The two-bedroom premium lakefront suite was spacious and cute, however when I went to give a toddler a both in the tub, I was horrified at the mold on the OUTSIDES of the jets (I didn't want to imagine what the insides were like), and the overall grungy appearance of the tub. I did not see the standard two-bedroom lakefront suite up close, however, the one bedroom suite that my husband and I stayed in had ants crawling on the floor in the kitchenette (It's October!) and dirty carpeting throughout. The walls and doors were in need of painting/repair and again--the grungy tub/bathroom and this tine with a sink that drained VERY slowly. The bed was uncomfortable, and the kitchenette was minimally stocked. I definitely feel that we overpaid for what we got.
