I stayed at Capitol Reef Resort on my last visit to the park. But their rates were curiously high on my latest vist, so I ended up booking with Days Inn. Since the room rate for the latter was considerably less, I was expecting a lot less in quality. So I was very happy when I entered our room and saw that it was clean and updated. The only downside was the lumpy mattress.

The receptionist was nice and their coffee, offered all day, was acceptable. I can't speak to the breakfast offering since I usually skip it. The property is adjacent to a gas station, convenience store and coffee shop.

This was a nice surprise and I would definitely stay here again.

Room was very dated and worn out. chips in bath tub, towels with holes and sheets with holes.
owner / manager is a total ass and liar, we made reservations 3 months in advance and asked if they had a hot tub and was told it will be fixed and running in one month, when we arrived hot tub was still out of order, since then I have called 3 times and spoke with the Manager / owner and he is still telling people it will be fixed in one month. I also witnessed the manager / owner treating a staff member like trash, found a hole in bathroom wall just the right size of a pinhole CAMERA , We pluged in with tissue.The Manager / Owner is a total snake and a liar.
Breakfast was a total joke with hard boiled eggs sitting out all morning with no refrigeration.
