On the 8th of November, I and my wife went to the Daniel Dead Sea Hotel for a Fun day that I received as a present for my birthday.
When we came to the hotel, the reception was very helpful and accommodating.
Then we went to sit and have our coffee and cake that was included in the voucher.
I asked for a latte in a large cup. The answer that I received was that the voucher is for only a small cup.
Then we were showed the cakes we could choose from. They were parve and we asked for dairy cakes instead. We were told that we will have to pay an extra 20 shekels each.
Please understand that the amount of the voucher was for 820 shekels!!!!
Then we went to the spa itself. The changing room was not clean, the bathroom was not clean, the wastebasket was full and there was toilet paper on the floor.
I mentioned this to the woman at the reception and she said that she will look into the problem (a half hour later, it was the same).
Then came lunch. I asked for a vegetarian portion and was told that there was no vegetarian and that there was rice, potatoes and pasta that I could eat.
My fun day, was not so much fun and I just want to pass this on for possible future improvements.
820 shekels is not a small sum, but the satisfaction of the client was nowhere to be found.
Thank you

The rooms are well equipped. There is a large spa area within the hotel. I availed myself of several spa treatments while I stayed here and found them to be reasonably priced by American standards. If you wanted to take a dip In The Dead Sea, you just had to walk across the street. The dining area was buffet style. There were a large number of selections that one could choose from. There was a bar on the main lobby floor but it wasn’t open when I wanted a drink. There was a lobby bar area but the staff there weren’t very friendly. It took me several tries to get someone’s attention to order a drink.
