I could not ever recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a great location; however, there is much work to be done here. It is a very run down and used hotel; which is difficult to begin with. However, when I arrived in my room it was not cleaned. It had not been vacuumed. There was clumps of blonde hair hanging from the computer chair and when I pulled back the sheets there was long brown hair in the bed! There were clumps of hair on the shower wall and when I opened a "clean" towel hair fell out of it. I complained and asked for the room to be clean. Afterward they "cleaned" the room I went to use the ice bucket and a used bag was still in there with water and mold floating around in there. It was the most disgusting experience I had ever encountered at a hotel.

We flew in at Midnight and Elainda was waiting there at reception with a big smile. She asked if this was our first time at their hotel and we said yes. She upgraded us to a suite overlooking the river and Canada on the 18th floor. It was an amazing room. The view was breath taking. We stayed two nights and the staff - all of them - were so kind. We will stay there from now on - anytime we're in Detroit.
