My husband and I just had our third stay at Cranmore Inn. First off, the inn IS lovely, clean and the main room is a real treat to relax, have a glass of wine or play cards. The location is hard to beat as it is right near a number of shops and restaurants.
The rooms have always been nice and clean but on the small side which we never minded. This last room we had a king size bed which was uncomfortable for us as it was on the hard side but only staying for two nights was fine. The room was missing a full length mirror and the soaps made my hands so dry like sand paper.
Some other things on my wish list, a later check out time would be nice and a more hearty breakfast is a must. To be fair we did not have breakfast this time because the past two times it was not great and we left hungry. So when we stay here we pay for breakfast (comes in the price) but eat elsewhere. Just a friendly suggestion, they should take a page out of the book from other inn w a similar name who have an outstanding and filling breakfast. One more note on breakfast, the coffee...if you enjoy good coffee you will need to go elsewhere for your morning coffee as well.
They do offer snacks in the afternoon but it is usually a sweet treat this time it was brownies with frosting. Personally I would appreciate it be something less sweet ahead of dinner.
On that note, we do enjoy this place but would pay to stay elsewhere if we had better breakfast and coffee and some other small things.
