The private, high-ceilinged rooms at Covecastles look over the beautiful blue waters of Shoal Bay West. This is the place for quieter families who want a simpler island experience, away from the crowds but still close to great restaurants and beach bars. The feel of the resort tends more toward “laid-back” than “luxury,” but if you don’t care if the furnishings are a bit worn, you won’t have much to complain about. The villas and beach houses give families plenty of room to spread out, and you’ll have a pristine stretch of beach without many people on it. This is a great location for a secluded family getaway.

Excellent lunch at CoveCastles. Best Caesar salad on the island and the wood fired pizza oven delivers delicious pizza. No dinner service but Thursdays and Saturdays Pizza soirée starting at six. Book early! Then the friendly staff offered to show us a villa . Stunning and not as outdated as some reviews say . Now I am thinking about booking my sixtieth there with some friends.

I had a delicious salad with snapper. My friends had salads with shrimp and ahi tuna. I would love to go back and have one of their wood fired oven pizzas. Very pleasant setting with a beautiful view of St. Martin and Blue Waters.
