Overview

Located in Wilmington’s wonderful historic district, this hotel offers all of the amenities for which Marriott properties are known, including good restaurants, pools and fitness facilities. In addition, some of Wilmington’s most popular attractions and restaurants are just a block or two from the front door.
Note that parking is sometimes a challenge in the historic district and as a result, parking here is around the corner in a garage that charges a daily fee.

Location is very walkable to all things downtown Wilmington. Very comfortable rooms. Ours kids loved the outdoor heated pool. Some great things to do with kids: ghost walk Wilmington (older kids), tour the Battleship NC, Children’s Musuem (younger kids). Lots of great places to eat & shops to visit all nearby and walkable. If driving, easiest thing to do with car is hotel valet.

It's 6:20 am and I can't get a cup of coffee because Starbucks is not open yet....really? Also, as noted in other reviews, the valet service is absolutely awful. They only have one person working most of the time and although they guys are nice and work hard they cannot keep up. This is a management problem!
Speaking of management, we had a terrible night because of a party in the room next door at 3:30 am. The next morning the front desk receptionist was great and spent the whole morning working with us and got us another room. She kept having to tell us that she would get back to us after she talked to the manager. We NEVER got to speak with the manager personally. I can't believe that the manager made her work the whole issue without speaking with us. Otherwise it's just a blah hotel with really small rooms.
