I've stayed at this property quite a few times when visiting Busch Gardens and it's usually an awesome experience. This last time however, I was a little disappointed in the service I received from the representative at the front desk when checking in. I had a reservation for a room with a King bed. I asked if it was possible to switch to a room with 2 beds at which time she informed me that the hotel was completely booked. The parking lot was practically empty (I've stayed there in the middle of summer where there was barely anywhere to park) but ok. I then asked for a room facing Busch Gardens. The rep had already given me keys to one room, she angrily took them back and gave me keys to another room, I said, thank you and proceeded to my room. As I was carrying my heavy bags to the room, I realized she had given me a room opposite of where I requested...exactly the same place where she had initially told me I would be...in the back, on the other side of the property. Did she do that to be funny? I had just driven from New York, it was late and I was too tired to debate the issue so I just again left it alone.
I was miserable the entire time. Not only did I hate the location of the room but I froze the entire time I was in that room. There was no way to control the temperature and even when I just turned off the air completely, it was still blowing. This doesn't normally happen when I stay here.
I usually experience excellent hospitality and service from this property which is why this is the only property I stay at in this area but this last time, not so great.
