After reading some of the reviews, I wasn't sure what I was going to think about the hotel. But everything went perfectly. I was there for one night, on business. When I checked in, Jahvanna, greeted me and was able to upgrade me to a suite. I've been traveling a lot (about to reach Platinum Elite status again), and I really appreciated her welcome smile and hospitality. The other woman at the desk—I didn't catch her name—was also lovely. My room was clean and comfortable. The view wasn't great, but I didn't care. Every single person I met at this hotel, from the night staff at the desk to the cleaning crew was friendly. The location was good; it's part of the Essex Green shopping center so I could either go to Panera Bread for a quick snack or to Friday's for a casual meal, or I could simply drive somewhere locally. They gave me a late checkout, too. The walls were a little thin (as someone else mentioned) because in the morning I was able to hear someone's telephone conversation. But I had no problem when I was sleeping. There's no body/shower gel so if you don't like bar soap, bring your own shower gel. But overall, the room was fantastic (not dated at all), and the staff was fabulous! I'll definitely return!

If I could give this hotel more than five stars, I would. I was absolutely blown away by the incredible customer service provided especially by the general manager Peter Wenzell and Director of Style Daniel Canarte. I responded to Mr. Wenzell's initial welcome email with a note that I was flying out from California for a funeral of a close friend and would be late checking in. He immediately replied with condolences and asked what they could do for me. (Really, I just wanted them to know I'd be checking in late and not to give my room away.)
Anyway, I arrived at the hotel after a long and emotional flight only to find that they'd upgraded me to a beautiful suite, left me a bouquet of flowers and a cheese & fruit plate, and the most touching condolence card. The suite served as a central meeting spot for several of us after the funeral which was probably one of the most memorable parts of the entire sad experience for all of us.I cannot thank the Courtyard enough -- especially Mr Wenzell and Mr Canarte -- for being so caring and so....human. I will never forget their kindness and will remain a loyal Marriott customer (and always recommend it to any and everyone I come across in the future). Oh yeah, and the rooms were very clean and the bed super comfortable, so there's that, too. :-)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
