Courtyard Waikiki Beach is located next to DFS Galleria Waikiki, a short walk from the beaches and Diamond Head. The hotel is near many local restaurants and shops of Waikiki Beach Walk. Families can get comfortable in guest rooms and one-bedroom suites with lofty dreamer beds and pillow-top mattresses. Units embody the Hawaiian culture by displaying dark wood furniture and colorful designs. Modern amenities adorn the rooms, such as flat-screen televisions and mini-refrigerators. Guests enjoy sweeping views from private lanais. Be sure to leave the room and experience the grounds tropical gardens, including a freshwater and a saltwater pool surrounded by palms and a waterfall. When your family starts to feel hunger pangs head over to the Spada Bar and Restaurant. This Italian bistro is open for breakfast and dinner. KiMOBEAN is a gourmet coffee shop that is also onsite.

The rooms were large if sparsely furnished. The common areas are small and need an update. This feels like a tourist hotel for a quite pass through, not a longer stay. Pool is small. We actually changed our plans to avoid a second stay at this hotel.

I’m a Marriott rewards member so I try to always stay in a Marriott. Picked this one as it was close to the cruise port and this suited our needs for a one night stay. The room we were given was on an upper floor and was an end unit. The room was spacious with a wrap around balcony. However, the view was of the other hotels and street but since we were just using as a place to sleep it wasn’t that big of a deal. The bathroom was probably the smallest bathroom I’ve ever had in any hotel. I guess they were trying to get me used to the small bathroom on the cruise. The hotel was also in walking distance to all the expensive shopping and nice restaurants. I don’t think I would select this hotel if I was staying in Honolulu for any longer.
