Service was wonderful. Rooms were fine. Location was perfect! We’ve stayed here and the other nearby Courtyard and Residence Inn, and I think the residence inn is probably just a little better. Still, this place is good, too.

We spent one night at this property, which is just off Fifth Avenue. The lobby is small and unattractive; rather than a small lobby store, there is a CVS machine at which you can buy the essentials, but it really is quite an unattractive feature. Our room was on the fifth-floor. There are very few rooms per floor -- the hotel feels like it was an afterthought. Across the street there was construction, which was noisy all day, although the construction stopped at night. The room itself was incredibly small and dated: for the price, it was a disappointment. The Courtyard Marriott on West 40th -- just a couple of blocks west -- is a much better choice. The acid test: would I go back to this property? No, no, no. [One nice feature: there is a Starbucks just outside the hotel entrance, so coffee and a morning croissant are easily accessible. Just a few hundred yards away is Bryant Park, which is lovely on a sunny fall day. Also, try the Bryant Park Grill, which is one of favorite restaurants in New York.]
