Ideal for a family of five or six, the Courtyard offers stylish suites that features two queen beds in the bedroom, plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. The small kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. Kids will love the large outdoor pool and hot tub in a beautifully landscaped courtyard. There’s also a covered outdoor patio with BBQ grills and tables. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, fitness center, laundry service, and a 24-hour convenience market in the lobby. Breakfast isn’t free, but it’s available for a good price at the hotel’s onsite restaurant, The Bistro, which is also open for dinner.
One of the best things about the Courtyard Hotel is its riverside location in downtown Waco. Step outside the lobby, cross the street, and you are standing on the bank of the Brazos River. Check out the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and Waco Peace Officer Memorial directly across from the hotel, then walk a short way to the century-old Waco Suspension Bridge that spans the river. Kids will want their photos taken at the larger than life bronze statues of longhorn cattle and cowboys that populate the riverside near the bridge. It’s the largest sculpture project of its kind in Texas. Downtown Waco is filled with shops, museums, and restaurants, all within walking distance of your hotel. Pay a visit to the Dr. Pepper Museum if you’re a fan of the bubbly soda that was invented right here in Waco. A few miles from downtown, discover the Cameron Park Zoo, the Waco Mammoth National Monument, and the nature paths at the Lake Waco Wetlands. With its perfect downtown location and kid-friendly amenities, Courtyard makes for a great place to stay during your family vacation to Waco.

Asked for a quiet room and was given one on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. Found the room clean, comfortable and quiet - all the good things. There was a fabulous big relaxing chair in the room that I wanted to take home. Walkable to restaurants and shopping. The lobby had friendly other guests hanging around as there was a bar and restaurant there. I was helped easily by staff when I had trouble with the printer. I asked for and was given a late check out - thank you! I enjoyed my stay! My only issue was that twice staff innocently knocked on my door when I had the do not disturb sign up on the door knob - once by accident for a repair and once by the maid who must have thought I was not there. Luckily I wasn't in the middle of anything where I really didn't want to disturbed but I was sort of unsettled and surprised both times. They did not open the door - they just knocked. I did discuss one of the times with the front desk and it was investigated and found to be a plain old accident. I understand these things happen - just never before to me. These incidents did not overshadow or ruin my stay and I still would still recommend staying here.

I stayed while visiting Baylor University. The campus is a long walk or quick car ride away. The convention center is across the street and there a number of places to eat within walking distance. The river walk is a block way and a nice place to take a run or walk. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They have a nice courtyard with a grill, outdoor pool, lounge area and fitness center. The room was clean. It has a fridge which is always a plus. I would stay here again the next time I visit Waco.
