Visited Marriott Key Largo In October 2019 for three days/nights. It is a quaint Marriott with a nice location. Trip started off a little rough when they informed me I had no reservation. This was a corporate issue, not a local issue and I have culpability since I didn’t realize they never sent a confirmation email. I was frustrated that I was told by front desk clerk that my only option was to pay $450 for a base room and there were no king beds available. Since I already had my IPad out trying to find my confirmation email, I jumped on American Express Travel and booked the room for half that price. I also booked a king, even though they didn’t have any. And then guess what, I got king! That didn’t look so good. From there the trip went well. Bars and restaurants were good, although they appear to be under staffed. You can’t bring your own beer to the pool, unless there is no one there to wait on you or tell you no. So that worked out for the best. The restaurant was nice, everything was really convenient. Parking was easy as well. We also went diving with Pirates Cove which is right there on property and the folks were great. About a 45 minute run to dive sites but it’s an entertaining ride! All in all a really nice stay!
