Overview

Country Sunshine B&B is located on four wooded acres. This is a two-level, European style, country home with six guestrooms. There are several common areas, including a comfortable seating area with leather couches in front of a large stone fireplace. There is an outdoor hot tub (which can be used anytime), an open-air fire pit and authentic Indian teepee. In addition to refreshments and a scrumptious evening dessert, a gourmet breakfast is served each morning, all included in your stay.

Please note that Country Sunshine B&B only accepts guests age 6 years and older. If there is a complete buy-out of the B&B, younger guests may stay; however, during normal operating days, no underage children are allowed. Rooms are quaint and include a variety of set-ups including a king with a day bed and trundle.

Country Sunshine does everything right

We’ve been staying at a lot of Air BnBs, so it was nice to stay at a real bed and breakfast and be pampered. Country Sunshine does everything right. You are greeted warmly upon arrival. There are cookies, beverages, 24-hour coffee and teas for guests as well as a nightly dessert. There are lots of tips for things to do in the area. We stayed in the Sunrise room, an upstairs room tucked behind the dining room. Our room was very quiet, private and comfortable. Walter’s breakfast is delicious and a great way to start the day. Country Sunshine is located about 15 miles from Durango and it takes about 20 minutes to get to town.

We stayed in this beautiful B&B 2 nights and words cannot describe this amazing place! Walter and Jodi were the ultimate hosts and made us feel right at home. The night time desserts and morning breakfasts were delicious. Both nights we sat outside for hours enjoying the mountain views and listening to the river. Even saw deer in the mornings on the lawn!! Wish we lived closer because we would be back often. Thank you Walter and Jodi for a wonderful and peaceful stay! Miss you already!
