Located steps away from the South Coast Plaza, this hotel is also within walking distance of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. Families looking to catch a performance or spend a day shopping will love staying here. After a day of exploring, families can spend time at the outdoor pool area which features plenty of lounge chairs and cabanas for shade. The spacious suites feature a separate living and bedroom area. There are king or double beds, a sleeper sofa, coffee maker, mini-fridge, two flat screen televisions and shower/tub combination in the bathroom. Wi-Fi is also available. The onsite restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and makes meals convenient for families. Pets are also welcome to stay here.

We stay in Marriott a lot, and this one is a disappointment. The property will be undergoing a renovation starting this week, and it is much needed! Rooms and bathrooms are outdated, although our suite was a nice size. They do have a mini fridge and coffeemaker, but no safe, and do not provide bottled water as some other Marriott properties do. The dressers are also tiny. The pool is nicely appointed with lounges, cabanas, and activities like Connect 4, ping pong, and corn hole. The fitness center includes treadmills, elliptical, bikes, free weights and a few machines.
The hotel does have an onsite restaurant, but we did not use it as there is a Starbucks across the street and within walking distance to the upscale mall, which has plenty of eating options.

My two young sons and I did a special vacation in the area, and chose this hotel to be near family in the area. Everything was top notch from the moment we arrived. The person who especially helped us was Nicholas, who greeted us warmly and checked us in efficiently. He was also helpful in providing great advice on getting around, sharing traffic tips like not to use the 55 from 4-7 pm, and giving us an alternative way to get to the Honda Center that would be faster than the way the gps would tell you to go. As a platinum level Bonvoy member, we especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet the mornings we were there.
We are looking forward to the renovations the hotel is undertaking. Hopefully it would involve finding a way to put two double beds in a suite instead a double and a twin. And the shower pressure in our 8th floor room was a little light. Those were the only issues we had here.
