Average Property, Nice Staff, Excellent Location

We stayed here for two nights while in the area for a tournament. The hotel is in a great area with many restaurants nearby, several a short walk away. There is also a mall across the street, gas stations, etc. nearby. There is also plenty of parking.

The hotel itself is fine, but showing signs of age. While clean, the room was a bit rundown; damaged furniture, worn, stained carpets, dated bathroom, etc. It was large however, and everything (air conditioner, wifi, television) worked well.

Staff were very friendly. They let us used the breakfast area as a gathering spot in the evening to have a few drinks and also extended the check out time. The young man working the breakfast bar was also vey friendly, but the breakfast itself wasn't great. If I had to guess, the eggs were powdered and the bacon was microwavable: kind of gross really.

All in all, given the price paid (we received a group rate) I would say I was satisfied with our stay.

$50.00 Pet Fee?

We stay at a lot of Comfort Inn hotels and we have never seen anything more than $15.00 charged for a pet. So, for that reason we won't be back. The hotel was nice and is in a good location. Had I known about the outrageous fee we would have gone elsewhere!
