The hotel is average. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was typical continental-style. And the staff were kind and helpful. I walked down to the ferry every morning with no problems (not far walk), felt safe, but also I'm from a big city and know how to watch my surroundings carefully. I did a lot of site seeing and eating and never used my car, if you are generally healthy and no problems with feet/legs/hips/back you would have no problems walking as well. About two blocks from the start of the action. For the price I think it was worth it.

The hotel parking lot was blocked off because of a marathon. No one mentioned that when we booked, so our one day in Savannah was truncated. Have you ever seen a bathroom with no towel racks? Odd. The room was spacious and quiet enough, and the breakfast was as expected. Staff freindly and tried to be helpful, but they did not have much information about the marathon, so it was frustrating for us.
Too expensive for the difficulty with roads being blocked. This is another example of a hotel that puts a very heavy duvet on the bed. We had to remove it and sleep under a towel.
