Overview

The Masters Golf tournament practically is Augusta, Georgia. But Augusta – Georgia’s second largest metro area – is tired of the world thinking she only hosts golf. The gems of Augusta get overlooked – and we’re talking museums, historic homes, civil war history, outdoor fun like kayaking, even President Woodrow Wilson’s boyhood home. You’ll also find both a thriving culinary and artists’ scene.
Comfort Suites in Augusta sits 2.4 miles to the Augusta National Golf Club, 5.8 miles to the Augusta Riverwalk, and 6.4 miles to the boyhood home of President Wilson. The property’s standard guestrooms offer a king or two queen beds. Upgrade to a king suite with more square footage and a pullout queen sofa.
Guestrooms have a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The hotel offers a complimentary hot breakfast, a Manager’s Reception on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with food and drinks from 5 to 7 p.m., parking, and Wi-Fi. Comfort Suites has a seasonal outdoor pool, a coin-laundry room and a fitness center. Shuttle service whisks guests within a five-mile radius – sometimes more.

This Comfort Inn and Suites in Augusta was a great place to stay. Location was convenient, just off I-20 and the facility was in excellent condition and spotless. Breakfast was typical for this kind of establishment - prefab eggs, waffles, cereal, sweet rolls, fruit, etc. as expected.
