Was in Flagstaff visiting my son who attends NAU. I was looking for a place by campus. This place is a hidden gem. It’s warm log cabin layout is so welcoming. The service is amazing. Location is excellent and the price was unbeatable.

I stayed at this property for 3 nights in late October. With one exception the staff were friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze, my room was clean as was the entire hotel. The neighborhood seems nice. I never worried about my vehicle or walking out at night. My one negative experience occurred as I left early to reach the south rim of the Grand Canyon. I passed through the lobby at 5:30am on Oct 22nd. I did help myself to an egg in a warming tray since it was there, breakfast is available at 6am so I was jumping the gun here. A very irritated gentleman asked me to take the plate with egg to my room rather than eat it there. No politeness no "please". I stood there and wolfed down the egg in probably 15 seconds and disposed of the plate and fork, said "I'll just have a cup of coffee and be on my way". This earned me a dirty look so I put a lid on the coffee and left. This was the only negative experience in 3 days, just a staff member with poor people skills and who knows, maybe he was having a bad day. BTW a 5:45 departure earned me an excellent parking spot next to the south rim visitor center and bus terminal. I recommend an early start.
