Free hot breakfast, free parking, free Wi-Fi, an indoor pool and reasonable rates get high marks with families visiting this 83-room, pet-friendly Saratoga Springs area hotel. It’s a bit outside of the downtown area, but still convenient to major attractions, shopping and lots of affordable dining options. Standard rooms have one king bed or two queen-sized beds. Family suites (pets not permitted) with a separate sitting area and bedroom are also available.

We have stayed here in the past and were disappointed to see that the hotel is no longer the excellent value that it once had been. The rooms are showing signs of wear and much needed repair - there was a big hole in the bathroom door, the toilet made a noise after it filled with water (pipe problem) and dirt and soot would blow through the vent into the shower (yuck). Bring your own shampoo/conditioner because they provide one each of the smallest bottles ever seen. Lastly the WiFi was spotty and unreliable and because there was such poor cell service, we couldn’t use our cell phones consistently. Also, it would be nice to have safes in the rooms.
On the positive side, some of the staff was excellent - particular thank you to Megan who was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, the breakfast was usual fare, the staff was nice and helpful and the pool was heated well. However the negatives now outweigh the benefits and unless the stay was deeply discounted, we would consider other options.

Although it is a bit pricey, the Comfort Inn in Saratoga Springs gives you a good value for the money. The rooms are tastefully decorated and clean. The continental breakfast is very nice including hot items, Belgian waffles and many other typical items. Our only complaint was the Internet service was difficult to get on and very slow. All in all, we would not rule out a return visit the next time we travel to the area.
