Overview

Cocos Padang Lodge in the Settlement District is a two-minute drive from Christmas Island National Park, where spectators gather to watch the migration along Flying Fish Cove. The renovated post-WWII building features four three bedroom self-catering units, and amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, DVD player, flat-screen television, fully equipped kitchen, shared BBQ, and laundry facilities. Guests of the lodge have access to a nearby pool, and it is within walking distance of shopping, dining, a market, and the visitor center.

Great location

Excellent location. Well renovated property. Kitchen was clean & had everything you need. Plenty of space. Unusual but very functional layout enabling 2 extra bedrooms to be unlocked & used for families. You can use pool at the nearby Sunset motel.

Perfect for our requirements

We booked a 3 x b/r unit for this trip. It had everything we needed and plenty of space for 4 of us.
The arrival and check-in was very smooth.
It was spotless. The beds were very comfortable. Enough hangars!
The unit itself had a cooker, good size fridge and a microwave.
All the basics in the kitchen were provided - which was great. There's nothing worse than having to buy cooking oil, salt, pepper etc when only staying for a week so BIG PLUS. Washing machine and dryer were in the loo - which was ok. And, again, washing powder was provided.
The location was perfect for us. The dive shop was literally across the road.
It had a lovely outdoor aspect too with available BBQ.
If we asked for something in particular - it was brought to us almost immediately.
Highly recommend.
