Room Information
Find the Best Price for Your Stay
The resort features 160 guestrooms and suites with private balconies or patios. Whether you're overlooking the ocean, the coastline or the mountains, the rooms provide fantastic views and high-end touches like Italian marble baths. Ocean and Pool View rooms are the most coveted of the room selections for the best views. They come at a premium. Some of these rooms overlook the hotel's interior courtyard, so if you are looking for the ocean or pool specifically, be sure to request in advance. Coastal and Partial Ocean View rooms are north facing and line up with the coastline of Avila Bay. This area of the hotel is the quietest and better suited for adults. Non-Ocean View rooms are the lowest priced in the resort and offer views of the mountains.
All rooms provide a choice of a single king or two queen beds. Rooms with fireplaces are available by request and availability.
The resort also features Lavish Suites, of which no two is alike. These suites feature ocean views but many are only outfitted with a king bed and do not have occupancy for families.
Family Fun Suite
Specific to families is the Family Fun Suite. Located on the first floor of the hotel with a terrace near the pool, the suite features a queen bed, twin bunk beds, a single trundle bed and a queen sleeper sofa; it can sleep seven guests in an open floor plan. A separate living area features a TV and DVD player, board games, and refrigerator in a kitchenette.

This hotel is located on a cliff facing the pacific ocean. If you like an ocean view (who doesn't?) then this place is for you. The view is great all day long and especially at sunset. There are stairs which leads to the sea shore so it's very easy to have a nice walk on the beach get a nice swim or at least a wet feet.
Besides the rich breakfast, a dedicated cook is on the spot to help guests creating their own special omelet, by choosing ingredients from a large selection, on his counter.
A large parking lot is right by the entrance and you can choose to self park or get a valet to help you.

This place was a peaceful beautiful resort. The service was excellent. Very close to grocery stories and the Nike Outlet. Food at the restaurant was good, with warming lamps for chilly nights. The SPA was great, with an foot soak included in the spa treatment. Daily treats in the lobby, drinks and snacks.

The Art of Smart Timing
The beautiful coastal weather of central California calls to families year-round. While it tends to get cooler from fall through spring, families still enjoy visits to the area for the local attractions, including Hearst Castle and many Central Coast wineries. Summer remains the peak season for kids, however, with prices highest during summer weekends. In the winter months, the hotel is ideally perched for watching migratory whales make their way down the coast to Mexico.
Getting There
The resort is located on Shell Beach Road, which is minutes from Highway 101. Centrally located between San Francisco and Los Angeles, drives from both cities' international airports will take about 3.5 hours. A small county airport, San Luis Obispo, is located just 10 minutes away from the property.
Getting Around
The resort offers complimentary shuttle service to and from San Luis Obispo Regional Airport and the local Amtrak stations. Advanced reservations are required. If you drive, self-parking is available at no charge, as well as valet service.
