On a family trip to Disney & Universal this past spring stayed 7 nights,check in was madness to start with long lines in the lobby and front desk staff not very efficient. Get to our room after a long wait,there definitely were some problems I would like to share. We stuck it out,but concluded we will not stay again.
The carpet was old stained and dirty in many spots,the bathroom walls had holes,the chair to the desk had many gross white stains,the lamp shades were dingy,and the towels were dirty,stained and folded for use under the sink. The elevator walls and buttons were smeared with all kinds of stuff that nobody wants to touch. Of course you call the front desk and they give you the run around for clean towels it took forever.
Some positives for the Clarion is the location McDonald's,Disney Springs,Dunkin Donuts and much more are all very close in a car. The parking is free, with a security gaurd. There is a pool,looked fairly clean and gated we didn't use. We didn't eat any food there or buy anything from the small convenience store inside the hotel. The room had a fridge and microwave both were clean.
The outside appearance of the grass,pool ect. accurate to the description provided when looking at their website you wouldn't think the rooms would be so run down the stains and dirt are visible as soon as you open the door to the room. I have provided pictures from inside our room it was pool facing on the 5th floor I hope this helps future travelers.
