Stayed here a few times now as we have family here always booked double room which have been lovely so this time we decided to treat ourselves and upgrade to a crown room - don’t bother paying the extra, the double rooms are so much better!
We arrived and checked in and we were given a very small room next to the restaurant which was hosting a party so was extremely noisy, we went straight back to reception to see about a move we were given another room at the other end of the hotel. The room was nice but definitely not worth the upgrade we had much better rooms just booking the double room option!
The room was really noisy we were up early due to the noise so got ready went to breakfast just to find the que just to enter the restaurant extremely long and not moving. One lady even went to reception to enquire what was happening? Eventually we were seated but the staff were so rushed they couldn't cope with the the turn around- think they need a few more staff on!
Fallen out of love with this venue think we need to look for another place to stay when visiting the family.

Visited for their bangers and mash night, before the Blackheath fireworks.
Was not what I expected!
It was way way better!
Expected to chose a sausage flavour and a mash flavour, but instead had a fab buffet of all the sausages, mash, beans and gravy.
And you can go up for seconds!!
I left walking like a barrel, as the food was great!!
The only negative... the GF was disappointed with the veggie sausages, as expected a protein type Saus, and they were more basic peas sweet corn etc in mash, moulded to sausage shape and fried.
That said, we are still looking forward to doing it again next year!!
