Delightful mix of old and new

I chose the Chippewa due to its location to the ferry and downtown due to traveling with elderly parents, who are healthy but walk slowly. This hotel was perfect, the service excellent starting with the porter to take luggage back and forth to the ferry, the front desk staff, and the delightful turn down service in the evening. We had friends who also had a room all facing the waterfront. Our room was 405 on the top floor, with sitting area and great view from the balcony,the other couples room was on the bottom floor with comfortable chairs on the porch to view the waterfront. The Pink Pony is attached to the hotel and offers excellent food and service. We were there as the season was winding down and in the evenings after the day tours had left had the quiet relaxed atmosphere.

Chippewa hotel has many extra's to a standard hotel. The Famous Pink Pony Lounge that has entertainment, you can just enjoy drinks or you can eat, there is a water font dining and patio area where you can enjoy breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner. There is the Pink Pony souvenior shop. The Chippewa is right next to the marina, and is located at the east end of downtown.
