The property was good & clean, not exceptional, somewhat noisy due to proximity to HWY97.
Our dissatisfaction is miscommunication, lack of transparency & services.Property was advertised USD142 a night, it should have stated UPFRONT 'before owner fee $175,cleaning fee$135,processing & supply fee $40,service fee $67 & tax". The price almost doubled. The fees are disclosed when you are ready to book, which is too late as by that time you have invested a few hours into research which is now a barrier to exit the booking. The pool did not work & had I not asked for reimbursement nobody would have given it to us. We were locked out of our suite for over 2 hours & were offered no compensation for inconvenience. In fact I was informed it happens a lot so they hired people who deal with it & I assume that's what service fee is for. The way we see it we are being charged for inconvenience. The checkout protocol posted on the fridge expects guests on departure to do dishes, start laundry, take out garbage & arrange the furniture back to the way we found it. Is $135 cleaning fee for vacuuming? The package of coffee found on the counter was stale expired in April & was not drinkable, we threw it out so that it will not be recycled again. Kettle & and coffee maker are NOT on auto shut off. Could not believe it.The rental agreement is the most onerous on the guest in my extensive travel experience & very light on management of the property. In a nutshell we found the property too expensive for what was offered and felt we were not treated fairly and transparently. We are from Vancouver Canada and the final after fees & tax USD 244 a night is excessive as it translates to about CDN $330. For this price I can have Fairmont Chateau Whistler all costs included and am comparing resort to resort. Hotel does cleaning, processing & supplies which is all included into price before resort fee & tax stated upfront. In our opinion Chelan Resort Suites pales next to Fairmont. I gave exact this feedback to the company in their survey.

The property was comfortable and it initially seemed well appointed. But on closer inspection, it suffered from obvious lack of maintenance and caring on the part of the cleaning staff and owners. At lease half of the lights didn't work and those that did were very dim. The light fixture over the bar had two out of three lights burned out. The light in the ceiling of the living room was very weak and was full of dead bugs.
the wooden Venetian blinds were worn out in service. The blind in the living room was very difficult or raise. the blind in the master bedroom was also very difficult to open. The window in the bed room wouldn't close completely, allowing the road noise from the adjacent highway to be heard almost all the time. The view of the lake was marginal, partly obscured by a building in front.
We found that there are many more attractive properties around the lake so we will look for another rental on our next trip.
This unit should not be rented again until the maintenance issues are corrected.
