Overview

This is one of the most iconic and gorgeous guest lodging options in Boulder. Located at the foot of the iconic Flatirons, the Colorado Chautauqua has been up and running since 1898. Originally visitors stayed in canvas tents, which have been replaced by 58 cozy cottages and two lodges with no two alike. Cottages are available in studio, one, two or three bedroom configurations, each with fully equipped kitchens and screened-in front porches. Note that all accommodations are television and phone-free to allow guests to relax and unplug. All accommodations, the park and surrounding open space are smoke-free. There are also a ton of things to walk to from the cottages, including dining, cultural events, hiking trails, tennis courts, a playhouse, downtown Boulder and more.

Upgraded to the full kitchen, for the bigger bathroom, while we did not use the kitchen, it had everything you needed, Very clean And nice teas and coffee. The whole cottage was a bit larger and it was nice to have the extra space. the bed was very comfortable, however there was this faint External “dinging “ sound every seven seconds until7:20 am. The toiletries were also of a very good standard. One note of warning, while I am not a big TV watcher, and did not miss it, the cottage did not have one.

Very nice little cottage and community. Friendly staff. Very clean. Quite area. Great hiking near by. Lots of stuff in the kitchen to work with. Coffee in our room. Nice little porch with the studio.
Restaurant has a pretty limited menu, not the best food and a little pricey.
